Dr. Suad Al Hosni is the Founder and CEO of Excellence for Development. She is an expert in biogas, biofuel production, renewable energy, green economy, circular economy, national policy development, strategy, and governance.
She has contributed to the preparation, review, and implementation of several national strategies and development projects across the energy, environment, economy, sustainability, waste management, and industrial sectors.

Key Contributions
- Contributed to local industry localization by supporting environmental and economic policy development, performance indicators, proposed legislation, and economic frameworks.
- Developed the National Waste Management Policy and Sector Governance Project under the Environment Authority, including the draft General Waste Management Law and sector governance recommendations.
- Contributed to green hydrogen infrastructure solutions through the Green Hydrogen Labs organized by Hydrogen Oman in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy.
- Participated in reviewing the Energy Transition Strategy, Hydrogen Oman reports, and national Net-Zero transition reports.
- Developed the strategy for establishing ten biogas production plants in Oman, including technical and financial analysis, costs, returns, and environmental, economic, and social impacts.
- Led the National Quality and Standardization Strategy, supporting national competitiveness, Omani industries, exports, import substitution, and national talent development.
